STOP! is a sensitive and heart-warming story of four friends
- Pooja, Tina, Sonia and Om - who live together
in the same house in Dubai. Life for these young
adults moves along just fine.. until something
unexpected happens. Om's ex-girlfriend, Shama,
now married to someone else, arrives in Dubai
for work. Shama, however, is unhappy with her
marital conditions. Little does Om know that in
his efforts to lend Shama his support, he is himself
becoming dependent on her. Tina's father, Anand
Mehra, makes a comeback into his daughter's life
but things get rather messy.
Pooja's dream is to be the best RJ in town
and have her own show. She works for Vivek Malhotra
(played by Harsh Chhaya) who holds the key to
her future, but with a catch attached.
Rohit works in the same office as Om and is
introduced to Sonia. All of Om's warning to
her to steer clear of the playboy Rohit fall
on deaf ears.
In spite of different temperaments and personalities,
they have always remained the best of friends.
But now, as each one stands at a crossroads
in their lives, with their conflicting opinions,
will things ever be the same?

Ishitta Arun as Sonia
This 23 year old fashion designer is bubbly
and fun-loving by nature. Always the epitome
of optimism, Sonia never misses an opportunity
to laugh, even in the most critical times. The
vivacious young girl is very easily the driving
force behind all the fun that this awesome foursome
share in their lives.
A boutique owner, Sonia aspires to taste the
high life in society. Talkative, hyperactive
and always eager to go out, she yearns for a
fairy tale romance, where her knight in shining
armour will charm, enchant and woo her. But
in the meantime, there's nothing to stop her
from having a bit of fun! Absolutely at ease
in any situation, nothing can get this woman
down!
Tejaswini Kollhapure as Tina
A 24 year old theatre actress, Tina never had
the ideal childhood most people do. But whatever
she went through made her strong, independent
and unafraid of anything or anyone. Frank and
level-headed, she always gets ahead of her complicated
situations, no matter how rough things might
get.
Blunt, blatant and always assertive, she is
street smart and extremely vocal about what
she feels or thinks. Her life is an open book
but there are some things she likes to keep
to herself. If anyone tries to probe into her
private and personal life, she'll eat them alive.
You certainly don't want to get on her bad side!
Rocky Bhatia as Om
The only guy in this foursome, 24 years old
Om is a software consultant. He has no interest
in dating any of his three female friends, or
being a brother figure to them, but he adores
them totally. Extremely protective about his
friends, he is sensitive and caring guy. What's
even nicer is that he knows his way around the
kitchen better than any of these girls do! It's
typical of Om to give Good sound advice and
his affection knows no bounds. He's always there
for his friends, no matter what. A simple, focussed
and hardworking young guy, work ranks quite
high on his priority list. But not as high as
the three women who mean the world to him.
Gauri S. Karnik as Pooja
Originally from a small town in India, Pooja
is in Dubai to realize her dreams. This 23 year
old radio jockey is a simple and homely girl,
who dreams of being the best RJ in town and
to have her own radio show. She has the perfect
combination of a modern outlook, with strong
Indian values. Sensitive, naïve and vulnerable,
she is the first one to cry and last one to
have any ego issues or hassles. For her, respect
comes first. If you don't respect yourself,
others won't respect you. That's her simple
philosophy in life. This little curly haired
angel has absolutely no malice in her heart.
Kind and soft-hearted, she's always there to
lend helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. Loving
and giving is all she knows. And she loves her
friends.
Dia Mirza as Shama
Shama is a young 24 year old marketing consultant
and housewife, who just wishes things were a
little different with her husband. Not the kind
of woman who could be wronged forever by her
husband, she has come to Dubai to start new
life, this one, on her terms. Bumping into her
ex-flame Om could possibly help her get over
her miseries. Or could it?
Om Puri as Anand Mehra
Meet Anand Mehra, a 25 year old unemployed
stage actor of yesteryear. Tina's father and
currently an out of work alcoholic, Anand's
impecunious ways are a constant thorn in his
daughter's side, bringing her down everytime
she makes a move up I life. He continues to
remain in his make-believe world of stage glamour,
unable to accept the fact that the glory that
once was is now no more.
Kiran Jhanjhani as Rohit
A modern day Casanova, Rohit only pretends
not to be one. A Don Juan to the core, this
24 year old software marketing guy certainly
knows how to charm his prey befire he ensnares
it.
Suave, dashing and a natural charmer, Rohit
can make any woman feel loved, cared for, wanted
and desired. That's one smooth operator. No
wonder then that he has a history with every
girl he meets. And he'll stop at nothing in
order to get what he wants.
