Raj Films latest offering is 'Neal 'N' Nikki' an over
the top fest of skin on show, babes galore, kissing,
kissing and more kissing!Just what is going on here?
Said to be aimed at a more Westernized audience and
for the hormone raging teenagers, this movie really
has lost the plot.
Set in Canada, we delve into the lives of two people,
both born and bred in Canada that are just about to
embark on a journey that is all set to change both their
lives forever.
Neal (Uday Chopra) is persuaded by his parents to marry
Sweetie (Richa Pollad) who is from Bhatinda, but not
until Neal gets to live it up and have all the fun!
Neal is determined to live his limited days of his bachelorhood
by going to Vancouver on a 21 day holiday of nothing
but fun! The actual aim of this vacation? To have as
many one stands as possible in the run up to his marriage.
First day out, and Neal
bumps into an Indian Supermodel, Wow! Such amazing luck!
But his luck is all but changed when a silly, bubbly
eccentric Indian girl Nikki (Tanisha) ruins his date.
Not just on this time though! On every occasion Nikki
is popping up, ripping his so-called bachelor holiday
to pieces.
They hate each other, and are always trying to out do
each other on every opportunity, but deep inside they
really can't do without each other.Just as love is about
to blossom between the two, Neal learns of Nikki's secret.
Call it what you
want but this seems to be the poor man's version of
Aditya Chopra's 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' you know
the old age formula of boys meets girl, initially they
hate each other then end up falling in love and want
to live happily ever after?Uday Chopra, new hairstyle,
new contact lenses and having lost a few pounds does
not even come close as a match for Shah Rukh Khan ,
he's trying but really it just is not happening for
him.
As for Tanishaa she really can not be compared to older
sister Kajol now can she?
Probably the one thing that has saved this movie is
probably the youthfulsoundtrack featured and the backdrop
of Canada that aids the cinematography quite well. The
storyline is quite weak and with all the flesh and frolicking
on display you are only to glad to be distracted!
So really if you want the babes, the eye candy, a no-
brainer and Uday Chopra trying his best to be funny
then go for it!Definitely one for the teenagers and
the college campuses.
