Movie Review
Samir (Aftab Shivdasani) is a successful fashion designer.
He works with three of his close friends; Sharad (Parveen
Dabbas), Satin (Vrajesh Hirjee- in case you are wondering
what sort of a name this is, Satin is gay!), and Shikha
(Anjala Zaveri). Janvi (Neha; wonder where she was excavated
from!) is in love with Samir, while Samir treats her
as just a good friend. Unrequited love! Out of the blue,
Samir becomes phone friends with Muskaan (Gracy Singh)
when he dials a wrong number. This leads to a series
of conversations until Ms. Wrong number and Prince Charming
discover that they are in love. While love is playing
its game, there is a mysterious man dressed in leather
boots, jackets and pants tailing Samir in an attempt
to gun him down but fails. Wasnt the mysterious killer
killed in an accident during one of his hot pursuits?
At least that is the impression one got. Soon the action
shifts to Shimla. Further excitement is
provided by a murder, with one of the
prime suspects being Samir. As usual the motive for
Janvis murder is ridiculous. Not much time is wasted
in tracking down the murderer and its back to the love
story. Alls well that ends well but there are a few
loose ends in the film. Whatever happened to the kid
with a hole in his heart? Was he just brought in to
showcase Samirs kind nature? This flick might work despite
a non-star cast.
