Jeevan Saathi Movie Review

The
much awaited 'Mere Jeevan Saathi' has finally been released,
having been teased with numerous songs and advertisements,
it is anything but a let down.Suneel Darshan's movie
is one that lacks depth and is totally predictable. We've
seen it all before and with traces of 'Fatal Attraction'
and some reminents of 'Aitraaz' this movie seems quite
dated. So, we have Akshay Kumar playing Vicky an aspiring
pop star with high hopes, in love with Anjali ( Amisha
Patel) he is all set to make it to the top.
Along comes his big break via a certain MT Music company
as run by Molani ( Gulshan Grover) and Tolani (Ashish
Vidyarth) who set Vicky up for some musical concerts
which sends his popularity soaring even more. But along
come a US based offer through 'Angel Music' which offers
Vicky more, in chosing Angel music, Vicky makes enemies
with the MT music company.
As a result, MT Music vow revenge and the process, Anjali
is injured causing her to stay behind on Vicky's trip
to New York. Head of Angel Music is Natasha (Karishma
Kapoor) who who since her college days had a crush on
Vicky.
Subcoming to her charms, Vicky and Natasha spend some
intimate moments together before he leaves for India.
Vicky feels guilty and realises that he has betrayed
Anjali. However Natasha is not one to stay behind! Much
to Vicky's surprise she accompanies him to India and
becomes a hinderance to both Vicky and Anjali.
Natasha is obsessed with Vicky, and she will let nothing
or no one stand in her way, she is ready to kill or
even die for Vicky's love.'Mere Jeevan Saathi' has nothing
we haven't already seen before, over sentimental, cringe
worthy dialogue the plot is weak and one sided.
Akshay Kumar is just average, and his attempt at a pop
star really is pathetic, playing the helpless male he
really has nothing special to offer.Karishma is watchable
as psycho obssessed lover, in the second half she shows
her true form and looking stunning as usual that is
probably the highlight of the entire movie.
Amisha Patel plays her role as much as the script will
allow her too. As the helpless naive woman caught in
this triangle she does get irritating at the best of
times but nonetheless she is just about ok.Overall this
movie is boring, out dated and will play with your patience
throughout. Very weak you will feel tortured! Dissapointing.
