What do you expect when the title of the movie 'Fanaa' translates as Destroyed in Love? Well Kunal Kohli's latest offering has none other than Aamir Khan and Kajol in the lead roles. Can Love really destroyed everything you ever have between yourself?Kajol plays Zooni Ali Beg who is a beautiful blind Kashmiri girl. This girl is strong and determined and will not let her disability get in the way of her quest of finding her true self. She is leaving home for the very first time in order to discover life as a whole. On her travels se comes across a flirtatious and charming tour guide by the name of Rehan Qadri (Aamir Khan). This modern day Romeo has a way with words through his love of poetry and although many warn Zooni about his wild ways she is nonetheless drawn towards him.

As is Rehan, he looks past her blindness and feels genuine affection for Zooni deep within her heart, he takes her to Delhi where she experiences feelings and love like never before. Yet all is not what it really seems. There are many facets to Rehan's personality and character and deep dark side which he never really has exposed or shown to Zooni. In doing so he knows that he will truly lose and destroy the one thing that means so much to him, the one thing that he truly loves could all be lost in a matter of moments.

As Zooni leaves home for the first time, wise words from her father are that although one can choose between right or wrong that is a simple decision but what is it really that completes someone's purpose in life?

Is it the greater of two goods or the lesser of two evils that makes the difference? This what the actual soul of the movie is all about and it is these true words that ring in the ears of Zooni.

This is Kajol's 'Comeback' film after her marriage to actor Ajay Devgan and is highly anticipated especially as she is starring opposite the critically acclaimed Aamir Khan. (The two were previously seen in the movie 'Ishq' but were not opposite one another) The music has been provided by the talented duo of Jatin - Lalit and is set against some beautiful backdrops. Numerous places are featured added to the feel of the movie with locations such as Kashmir, Delhi and Poland. Landmarks such as the Red Fort Jantar Mantar, Qutub Minar, Purana Qila, Lodhi Gardens are all featured. Under the Yash Raj banner this movie has all the traits of quality cinema which is also produced by Aditya Chopra. Don't miss this one.
