"Ab
Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo" is an unusual journey
of love amidst hatred. It’s a film with a love
triangle story, told within the backdrop of the Indian
Army. It’s a story of two countries coming together
in love, in order to fight hand-to-hand in a war against
terrorism. Can there be an Indo-Pak friendship, with
the hope of peace, harmony and democracy? Destiny plays
a significant role, as it is snatched from some and
given to others.
The bravery and honour
of those determined to rid terrorism from the two nations
are pitted against the devilish ruthlessness of those
who crave it to reign supreme.
Amitabh Bachchan plays
the role of Major General Amarjeet Singh, a dynamic
officer and a true patriot. For him, bravery is just
not an attitude but a legacy to be passed on from one
generation to the next. Will he be able to accomplish
that goal?
Major Rajeev (Akshay
Kumar), an outstanding army officer is a winner all
the way. But will he lose his "love" to someone
else?
Newcomer to the silver
screen, Divya Khosla plays Shweta. She finds herself
entangled in a helpless situation where she has to struggle
to find her destiny. Who will she turn to for the answers,
which she so desperately needs?
Bobby Deol is cast in
a double role in this film. First, Lt. Commander Vikramjeet
Singh, a young Naval officer who believes that you get
only one life and what better way to spend it than serving
the country that gave your identity. And second, Captain
Kunal, a fallen hero desperate to prove his worth and
to hold his head up high, showing that he loves his
country as much as he loves life.
Col. Ashfaque Khan (Danny
Denzongppa) is a brave Pakistani army officer, who believes
in waging a “fair war”. Yet, he is helpless
in the hands of his government and its unfair policies.
The other newcomer to
the silver screen, Kapil Sharma takes on the part of
Captain Trilok, a brave heart, whose love for his country
is matchless.
Sakshi (Sandali Sinha)
is an army doctor, with the heart of an angel. She heals
the ailing and her loved ones. Will her care and devotion
be enough to allow them to survive and win the war?
The role of the fiendish
antagonist in this film has been given to Ashothosh
Rana. As Sikander Khan, he is very convincing. He is
described as having his mid being a devil's den, his
heart a ruthless organ and his hatred for a nation and
the lure of wealth, his driving passions. Will these
strong qualities factor into a victory for him and the
terrorist life he so cherishes?
December 3rd or
10th will reveal all the answers with the release of
ATHWS in theatres. Don’t miss it!
