Jennifer
Love Hewitt is living proof of the luck that the women
of Party of Five have. They (Hewitt, Neve Campbell,
Lacey Chabert) go off and make big movies, while the
guys have to settle for being called cuties by Rosie
O'Donnell. Hewitt, who prefers to be called Love instead
of Jennifer, also took a page out of co-star Campbell's
book by starring in teen horror flicks, I Know What
You Did Last Summer, and the aptly named sequel I Still
Know What You Did Last Summer. Besides doing some children's
shows in her childhood, Jennifer Love Hewitt first gained
national exposure on two series, The Byrds of Paradise
and McKenna though most people would be hard-pressed
to remember the shows, let alone her roles on them.
It was Party of Five that really got her noticed.
Sure
a lot of the attention was on Neve Campbell, but a loyal
contingent of Jennifer Love Hewitt fans faithfully followed
the sweet, sexy and shapely star. Hewitt is also quite
a talented singer and has released several CD's, though
her singing career is currently one of those strange
big-in-Japan hits that some stars have. I Know What
You Did Last Summer was one of those relatively cheap
hits that studios love. Starring Love Hewitt and fellow
teen queen, Sarah Michelle Gellar, the film did big
business not only because it was scary but also because
it managed to display the stars' bodies in a healthy,
sexy way. In fact Gellar and Hewitt often joked that
the film should have been called I Know What Your Breasts
Did Last Summer and it seems only fair then that a fan
would create a site to study her breasts and the role
they play in her films. Can't you just see him getting
his degree with a thesis on them? Love saw her PO5 character
spun off into her own show, Time of Your Life. The show
was quickly cancelled due to poor ratings. In the spring
of 2001, Love received fairly good reviews for her sexy,
goofy role in Heartbreakers, which also starred Sigourney
Weaver and Gene Hackman. Her reviews for 2002's The
Tuxedo, which co-stars Jackie Chan, weren't as good.
In October of 2002, Hewitt released a new CD, Barenaked.
