She's a one-year sensation in Bollywood with her debut in "MAINE PYAR KIYA" opposite Salman Khan who too had his debut through the movie "MAINE PYAR KIYA" which was a blockbuster at the box office in '89.

Though "MAINE PYAR KIYA" called "SHOLAY-II" had worked wonders for the whole production unit along with "Salman Khan" and "Bhagya Shree" as well, the smart actress failed to get much utilisation outof the craze that the movie had attributed to her and it's so sad she just couldn't accumulate the money out of it.

And later, she decided to quit the industry inspite of the pleas and nagging offers that she was receiving by the producers along with the pressure from various circles that includes her fan following which she had, following her immediate success in her first movie. She didn't succumb to all these forces though she wanted or demanded she be cast opposite her hub she got married to while "MAINE PYAR KIYA" was still breaking all the records and making waves.

While she was given two three films as she demanded, Bollywood saw the end of a talented actress that she was.
