Come to think of it, after two back-to-back hits [RANG DE BASANTI, FANAA], Aamir Khan could've given a positive nod to any masala flick and chosen to work with anyone he desired. But he preferred to make a film on a dyslexic kid, make him the focal point of the story and don three caps -- producer, actor and director.
Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal is directed by Vivek Agnihotri whose last directorial venture Chocolate was a box-office dud. The movie showcases a sport loved by millions around the world, Football. Comparisons to the recent hugely successful sport-based movie Chak De India are inevitable. Infact the success of Chak De India has in a way helped build excitement around Goal. So does Goal live upto the expecations? Read on..
Aaja Nachle
Anil Mehta experimentation worked due to the extra something called Madhuri dixit. The script was normal nothing special but in the implementation of the old story of Laila Majnu, Anil does the trick. Aaja Nachle has been made for Madhuri and I do think she does full justice to the role. Madhuri's splendid performance as Dia , a small town girl who lefts the village and who fell in love with a photographer. She comes back to see that her dance masters who dies has ajanta theatres which should be saved from the builders to continue the Art of dancing. But she has only two months to prove this with the help of the very villagers who ridiculed her. The Laila-Majnu twist gave a whole new dimension to the movie.
