Barry was born in Traverse City, Michigan - the third of four children (Scott & Christie are older, Kip is the younger). His dad was an attorney and his mother was a paralegal. At age 8, he moved to Dallas where he started modeling. At age 14, his parents divorced. At age 15, he took off for Burbank, California and almost immediately got a job on the NBC soap "Days of Our Lives" (1965). That job lasted for 6 months, that he struggled. He returned to Dallas and graduated high school from Richardson High in 1992. At age 19, he returned to L.A., again determined to make it.

He started parking cars at the House of Blues, but, after 6 months, he was selected to appear on the Aaron Spelling series, "Malibu Shores" (1996). Tori Spelling introduced him to his future wife, Laura Payne-Gabriel. More.....

Wherever Ali Landry pops up, there's water involved. The 24-year-old Cajun was raised in seaside Breaux Bridge, La., the Crawfish Capital of the World. Once she was all grown-up in an orange one-piece swimsuit, she paddled off with the Miss USA 1996 crown.
She has even done some laps on TV in what else other than Sunset Beach, and her tidal turn on the small screen took place in a laundromat. During last January's Super Bowl, she wiped out viewers in an ad for Doritos Puffs: Two cool dudes try to impress her with their prowess at catching the chips in their mouths, but Landry, who studied tap, ballet, and gymnastics for 15 years, outdoes them with a series of splits and leaps performed with a man-melting smile.

Her commercial costar Sean P. Hayes says, ''We were shooting all day, and a lot of Doritos were consumed. I've never seen anyone look better with orange powder on her face.''
The 5'8'' Landry, who lives in L.A. and dates Phoenix Cardinals quarterback Stoney Case, still can't believe her impact. ''It's absolutely crazy,'' she says, citing her imperfect vision (''I'm almost blind without my glasses''), and her bunions (she kept her favorite tennis shoes through a growth spurt).
Even her best beauty secret is low-priced. ''I buy this teeth-bleaching stuff at Target and do it myself,'' she says. Her former apartment mate Brian Edwards swears it works: ''When Ali smiled, I would say, 'Stop it, you're blinding me!''' More.....

Though fourth-billed in her first film, My Girl (1991), 9-year-old advertising model Anna Chlumsky was clearly the star. Playing a mortician's daughter learning about life and love in the early 1970s, Anna made one of the more auspicious movie debuts in recent memory; she also administered the first screen kiss to juvenile superstar Macauley Culkin, an event which garnered as much press coverage as Shirley Temple's first cinematic smooch in Miss Annie Rooney (1942). Since My Girl, Anna has not aggressively pursued a career, showing up in films evidently only when she and her parents feel like it.

Anna Chlumsky's follow-up films have included My Girl 2 (1993), Trading Mom (1994) and Golddiggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain (1995), in which the 14-year-old actress performed her first stunt work. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
